Who are we?

NX Filtration is growing fast and is expanding its international (sales) organization based in Hengelo, The Netherlands. NX Filtration is the provider of innovative and sustainable hollow fiber membrane technology for clean and affordable water to improve the quality of life, for which it has been rewarded as “breakthrough technology company of the year”.
In addition to its nanofiltration (NF) and ultrafiltration (UF) membrane technology for water treatment, NX Filtration also offers a range of high-end hollow fiber microfiltration (MF) membrane products, specifically designed for the beer and wine filtration market, but also with great potential in other markets such as dairy, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and a variety of food applications.

As Senior Sales Manager Microfiltration Membranes you will be responsible for the market development of the NX Filtration beer and wine filtration product portfolio, and for pioneering new markets for our MF membranes such as biotechnology and food science.
The role is focused on rapidly growing the business for this production portfolio in the global market. Route to market is via international OEM's (original equipment manufacturers). The goal is twofold, to further build towards a leading position in beer and wine filtration markets, and also to expand towards adjacent markets.


How can you contribute?

The ideal candidate is an experienced and deal-oriented sales manager with a successful track record of new sales, generating demand, and deal closures. The candidate will need to demonstrate the right competencies, growth mindset, and ability to build a customer network in the MF filtration market. Further, the position includes the following tasks and responsibilities:

  • Selects, develops and maintains strong relationships with international customers (OEM) and end-users
  • Prepares and submits proposals and quotations to customers
  • Ensures systematic follow-up of offers issued and records them in the CRM system (Salesforce)
  • Supports Engineers in communicating with customers during the delivery and implementation phases of a project
  • Team up with other departments within NX Filtration to ensure that product delivery and project realization is up to standards
  • Maintains and analyses sales statistics based on key quantitative data
  • Provides feedback on industry developments, customers, competitors and identifies trends and related requirements
  • Work with marketing and events to align with and drive sales strategy
  • Attends conferences and trade fairs and helps select and prepare samples and promotional materials
  • Host international visitors (representatives, accounts, distributors, etc.

Job requirements

Who are you?
  • At least 5-year work experience in a engineering-, product management, or sales-driven role preferably in the food science, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals markets
  • Team-player, self-starter, solid problem-solving, communication and presentation skills
  • Available for extensive travel
  • Action Oriented. "Can do" and "does do" attitude; authentically engaged with people and situations
  • Accountable. Commits to stretch goals and delivers; holds self and team to highest performance standards
  • BSc. or MSc. in a commercial or technical field of study
  • Experience in using CRM to manage the sales process and forecast sales
  • Strong time management skills due to the international nature of the role
  • Business English plus any other European languages
  • Expertise in membrane filtration technologies is a preference
  • This position is based in Hengelo (OV), The Netherlands.
